Mechanical Equipment Services Training Program

The 5-year Mechanical Equipment Service (MES) program consists of maintenance training for a variety of mechanical applications, including commercial air conditioning, heating systems, ventilation systems and refrigeration systems.

Apprentices in this program work for a signatory contractor earning a wage determined by the current MES agreement and attend school two nights a week. In each year of apprenticeship, the apprentice must meet certain requirements in order to advance to the next year of apprenticeship and receive a raise. At the end of the 5 years if all requirements are met, the apprentice is advanced to serviceperson status.

To apply to this program a resume must be submitted which is forwarded to signatory MES contractors. Once hired by a signatory MES contractor and complete probationary period, if required, you will be placed in the MES program.
